How to make Ruth Chris Chilean Bass?

Ruth Chris Chilean Sea Bass Recipe

To make Ruth Chris Chilean Sea Bass, I can confidently say it’s very easy. What I want to share here is some alternative ingredients just in case you have some difficulty finding very fresh Sea Bass. Cod or hadlock are good replacements. They have the same look, white and similar texture which you can apply the same seasoning and cook the same way. Not only the fish, you can use orange instead of lemon, and coconut butter instead of normal butter. If you are sensitive to fish smell, a little bit of wine to the sauce also helps.

Ingredients

Ruth Chris Chilean Sea Bass Recipe
  • 1 lb Chilean Sea Bass
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of  capers
  • 1 fresh lemon
  • Cooking oil
  • salt and pepper

Pat dry the fish by using a paper towel and remove the bone. The easy way to find the bones is use your finger and gently press on the fish, using a clip to plug up the bone.

Step 2

Put a good amount of cooking into a pan, on medium heat then pepper and salt this fish on both sides. Massage the fish well before bringing it for a fry in approx 3-5 minutes per 1 side.

Step 3

Place a small skillet on medium heat and melt some better.  Then add in some capers and lemon juice. Mix together. Taste the sauce and adjust the taste.

Step 4

When the fish is done place them on the plate, serve the sauce over the top.

Conclusion

The Sea Bass is actually a half dish, there are a lot of options that you can serve your fish with depending on your at – the- moment mood. White rice or brown rice is one of these. Sweet potato or grilled veggies are also suggested. I also worry about reheating Sea Bass in the microwave, the fish is very easy to dry up.

So I choose to wrap the fish in cling film and microwave for 30 minutes, flip the fish and turn on the microwave again for another 30 seconds. It’s perfect if you have an air fryer,  the reheating comes out the same as you do with an oven. Wrap the fish with foil paper and add in a spoon of water. Don’t forget to preheat the air fryer before using.
